ANSI A118.11 Premium Medium Bed Mortar-Polymer Modified Mortars

PROFLEX® PROFLEX PRO-STICK 50 is a (ANSI 118.11) latex modified, medium bed mortar composed of sand, cement, and resins used to adhere a variety of tile surfaces, natural stone, marble, and granite, to approved substrates. Specially formulated to hold large format tiles and stone surfaces in place on vertical surfaces, and reduces unevenness caused by setting tile on horizontal surfaces. PRO-STICK 50 is applied in thickness from 3/16 to 3/4 inches to adhere marble, granite, and tile, to plaster, drywall, concrete, and masonry surfaces. Designed to set tiles vertically of up to 5 lbs. per sq. ft. (Larger sized units must be field tested to determine suitability).

PS42 XLT

ANSI A118.11 Extra Large Format Tile Mortar

PROFLEX® PRO-STICK 42 XLT is a one step polymer modified portland cement setting adhesive for installing extra large format porcelain, ceramic tile and natural stone on both walls and floors. PRO-STICK 42 XLT with its unique properties can be used as a thin or medium bed setting adhesive for installing large format, ceramic, porcelain and irregular thickness stone without the need of back buttering the tile.

Typical Use

PRO-STICK 42 XLT is ideal for use in installations of extra large oversize ceramic tile and natural stone for both walls and floors in both interior and exterior applications. It is recommended for use for absorptive, semi vitreous, vitreous tile and impervious ceramic tile such as porcelain tile and natural stone over properly prepared masonry, concrete, cement backer board, membranes and existing ceramic tile. For interior dry areas, it is suitable for properly prepared gypsum board and exterior grade plywood substrates. PRO-STICK 42 XLT is suitable for both residential and commercial construction. It is recommended for use in the thin set installation method for vitreous tiles like porcelain over low or non-absorptive subfloors, and membranes.

PROFLEX® PRO-STICK 42 thin set mortar has superior performance and workability characteristics not found in regular thin set mortars, along with an extended open time. When mixed, it produces a creamy, easy to spread mortar specially developed for the professional tile setter. For commercial and residential use.

PROFLEX® PS 42L is a polymer modified dry set mortar composed of lightweight aggregates, sand, cement, dry resins and other proprietary chemicals used to adhere virtually all types of tile, especially large tile units, marble, and granite to acceptable surfaces. Due to its light-weight and flexible properties, PS 42L installations provide higher resistance to cracking than normal mortars. PS 42L is especially formulated to hold large units in place on vertical surfaces. PS 42L also reduces unevenness caused by setting of the tile when used on horizontal surfaces.
